Back-to-School Bash Supply Drive
Creative Girls Rock® (CGR) is excited to host our 3rd Annual Back-to-School Bash Weekend on Saturday, August 6 and Sunday, August 7, 2022.
The Back-to-School Bash began in 2020 as a part of our CGR Youth Development Initiative in response to the negative economic impact that the COVID-19 pandemic had on the Greater Nashville community. In 2021, with the help of generous community partners and volunteers, we distributed more than 3,000 backpacks across nine locations in Middle Tennessee. The backpacks were filled with school supplies, and we also distributed diapers, baby wipes, dental and personal hygiene products, and cleaning supplies. More than 1,000 families received materials and other family resources, and the initiative was covered by local news outlets, including FOX 17 News Article.
This year, we are back at it again! Thanks to the success of previous years, we have already doubled the number of community partners this year, which now include: Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle TN, Vanderbilt University, Nashville Thrives, Belmont University, The Pencil Foundation and other local nonprofits to distribute at least 10,000 backpacks to families across Middle, TN.
B2S Supply Drive 2022
Beginning May 1, 2022, Creative Girls Rock®️ in collaboration with our community partners will begin the collection of school supplies to help reach our goal of 10,000 backpacks filled with supplies.
