Women's History Month!
In March of 2020, Americans learned public health is about much more than just birth certificates and death certificates. While COVID-19 spread across the United States, public health workers tracked the virus to determine who was most at-risk for contracting it in the midst of educating Americans of symptoms and the best prevention methods.
In December of 2020, the long-awaited vaccine was finally administered to its first recipients and thus began the slowing spread of the virus. The pandemic, however, spotlighted the health disparities in minority communities.
This workshop will walk through a variety of health issues impacting women specifically and how best practices for prevention.
