Every time you create something, whether writing a song, painting a landscape, or writing a novel, you are pulling two vital aspects of artistic creation together:
Your technical abilities and knowledge, and
Your creative imagination.
In songwriting, we refer to technical abilities by using the word technique, and we summarize the phrase creative imagination by simply referring to one’s musicality or musicianship.
Creative Girls Rock®️ is excited to partner with Sony Music Group for our first songwriting class. During this workshop, participants will learn how to record music, write songs, explore their creativity, and embrace their vulnerability. Featured guest DOE Jones will guide participants through the ups and downs of creating art so they can share what’s in their heart with the world.
Ages: 12-18
Class Details:
The class will be held via Zoom. The zoom log-in details will be provided upon registration.
All materials will be provided in the CGR Craft Kit box sent directly to your home prior to the workshop.
